Samasource provides an alternative to standard business process outsourcing companies. Their services include high quality data entry, transcription, content generation, image tagging, business & product verification, and much more. Currently, Samasource’s clients include large consumer websites, Facebook application developers, nonprofits, and socially responsible companies.

Samasource workers must pass a rigorous quality and social impact screening which includes site visits, personal interviews, and reference checks. They adhere to common sales, project management and payment methods, and must agree to a code of conduct that includes progressive labor and environmental policies.

Samasource is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social business based in San Francisco and founded in mid-2008. The organization received seed funding from the International Business in Development Challenge and the Stanford Social Enterprise Challenge.
