Using VoIp technology, TalkPlus offers Voice 2.0 services for mobile networks.

TalkPlus Long Distance and Mobile calling plans allow users to make and receive long-distance calls (including international calls, depending on the plan) from their mobile phone. TalkPlus works through the major existing wirless networks including Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, and T-Mobile, and does so by re-routing calls from these networks to the TalkPlus operations center where the call’s featuers are added and then delivered over the carrier network. Thus, when using TalkPlus, your cell phone plan minutes and TalkPlus minutes are simulataneoulsy used up. Most all TalkPlus plans require that the mobile phone is internet-capable or has a data plan. Perhaps the company’s most useful feature, TalkPlus Multi-Line lets you add additional phone lines to your existing mobile phone, offering the potential for people to consolidate all their numbers to a single phone. Another slightly different feature called Mirror Numbers lets you make (but not receive) calls on your mobile phone from pre-existing home or work numbers. Founded in 2004, TalkPlus was named to the 2007 “Pulver 100” for private IP voice and video communications companies.
